Enjoy a few cocktails at Sweeties: The Standard, London has launched a new cocktail bar and late night venue, Sweeties on the 10th floor.

The menu, which was curated by The Standard in conjunction with award-winning mixologists Jack Sotti and Todd Austin, features signature cocktails including the pink Frothy Boi with lacto-rhubarb, gin, raspberry, pink pepper and gut-friendly fermented amazake oats. , the Pick Me Up made with a blend of 8 adaptogenic mushrooms, brown vodka, cocoa butter and coffee, and the Crystal Healing – a blue cocktail made with spirulina, dulse pepper seaweed distillate, bergamot and electrolyte-rich coconut ice cream.

As for the music, expect a line-up of international DJs playing a range of genres from classical to contemporary, on its bespoke stack-style Funktion-One sound system.

See the latest V&A exhibition: Opening on March 19 and running through November 6, 2022 is the highly anticipated exhibition, Shaping Masculinities: The Art of Men’s Fashion in partnership with Gucci.

The first major V&A exhibition to celebrate menswear will feature iconic looks from legendary and emerging designers including Harris Reed, Gucci, Grace Wales Bonner, Alexander McQueen and Raf Simons. These will rub shoulders with historical treasures and acclaimed works of art, classical sculptures, Renaissance paintings and iconic photographs.

“Men’s fashion is experiencing a period of unprecedented creativity. It has long been a powerful mechanism for encouraging conformity or expressing individuality. Rather than a linear or definitive story, it’s a journey through time and genre. The exhibition will bring together historical and contemporary looks with art that reveals how masculinity was realized. Celebrate International Women’s Day at the Ned: The Ned has partnered with Women for International Women to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, by hosting a special dinner at the Malibu Kitchen with a menu created by Chef Madeleine Haysey and Pastry Chef Sophie Lorenzetti.

The menu is £60 per person and 25% will be donated to Women for Women International with funds raised to empower marginalized women.

Take part in a ‘techno-delic’ experience: Selfridges has teamed up with sensory reality experts, SENSIKS. So you’ll find a sensory reality capsule in stores across the UK, including the Oxford Street outpost. The multi-sensory modules have been outfitted with bespoke scents, infrared light, heat and sound sensors that will provide a relaxing digital experience, designed to promote well-being and improve mental health, much like a short meditation.

Take a trip through Portugal to London: Renowned Portuguese wine bar and restaurant, Bar Douro is launching its new supper club series “Journey Through Portugal” at Bar Douro City this month, so expect an abundance of Portuguese delights.

Local wines and dishes from the Alentejo region, including Gazpacho à Alentejana and Carne de porco à Alentejana (aka pork with clams) will be served on the first Saturday of every month until November. After each supper club, dishes and wines from the region of the month will also be available on the specialty board of the two restaurants of Bar Douro.
